Young’s unique ‘Fish for Life’ approach – and within this its ‘Ten Principles for Responsible Fish Procurement’ - have received independent validation.

Fish for Life encompasses Young’s behaviour and ethical stance on the sourcing of fish from both wild and aquaculture resources. It incorporates Young’s unique supplier audit process which generates a risk assessment of each individual fishery, directing Young’s purchasing strategies and allowing it to focus on areas of concern with producers.

Earlier this year Young’s commissioned an audit by respected independent consultancy, Bodycote Lawlabs. This process has now validated the Fish for Life approach and confirmed that Young’s is applying a robust methodology in assessing the sustainability of supplier fisheries.
