In a major appointment, Katherine Hunter has joined the Board of Young’s Seafood as supply chain director.

Katherine is a highly experienced professional, whose background spans a number of senior supply chain roles as well as significant operations management experience. She is returning to Europe to join Young’s having most recently been based in New Jersey where she lead a global program delivering common supply chain planning processes across Mars Inc.

The role of supply chain director is a crucial one for Young’s, which now has turnover in excess of £500M. Katherine’s role will be to devise and deliver a supply chain management strategy that facilitates continued development for the business within its fast-growing global seafood market.

She says, “Young’s is a dynamic food company which is also playing a leading role in the responsible fisheries agenda. Continued growth means an increasingly complex supply chain – managing this development effectively whilst continuing to deliver outstanding customer service is a fantastic challenge which I am really looking forward to.”
